_DSC1764 There’s something about London. It might be the giant barges that are customized houseboats floating on the Thames, the beautiful stone bridges, or the pubs packed with character on every corner.

We had all of the above building our kayaks under the arch of the famous Kew Bridge, and had builders coming from locations as far away as Finland!

Robin Falck in this photo is a designer of micro-houses and other analog items. We also had a veteran sea kayak coach, an industrial designer, an animator, a motion picture compositor and a beekeeper! Unsurprisingly they turned out some really gorgeous works of art and paddles.

We’re already gearing up to run another kayak building workshop in England in April for £2100. Sign up on our mailing list to stay informed or join Explora London to see more photos and read everybody’s comments! Read more to see some photos from the workshop and our lovely workshop on the Thames River.
